Affiliate and sponsored content policy
Our requirements for relevant outdoor sponsorship, visible disclosure, qualified commercial links and editorial independence.
Relevance comes first
Commercial articles must address a useful question within outdoor equipment, hydration, beach and water use, light mobility or equipment transport. An advertiser's requested link does not justify an unrelated article. Content must remain useful without the commercial link.
Visible disclosure and link qualification
A paid article is labeled as sponsored near its beginning. A commission-bearing link is identified near the link or comparison. Paid and affiliate links use the sponsored or nofollow relationship attribute. We do not sell a promise of undisclosed paid links that pass ranking credit. This follows Google's commercial-link guidance.
No bought conclusions
Payment does not establish that a product is best, independently tested or endorsed. No invented review, testimonial, score or experience is permitted. Documentation-based content remains labeled as research-based.
Launch status
The initial editorial guides contain no paid placements or affiliate links. Any future relationship will be disclosed on the affected page. Read the editorial policy and research method, or send a relevant proposal through the contact page.
